The Kingdom beckons
Climate Control Middle East magazine to conduct
HVACR-dedicated conference in Saudi Arabia
In response to renewed calls from the HVACR industry in the GCC, CPI Industry, publisher of the HVACR-dedicated Climate Control Middle East magazine, will be conducting The Climate Control Conference (C3) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in March 2010.
To be held in Riyadh,C3 Saudi Arabia will look to build on the momentum achieved in an earlier event – C3 Abu Dhabi, in May/June 2009. In fact, it was the Abu Dhabi event that became the reason for looking towards Saudi Arabia.
C3 Abu Dhabi attracted a large number of delegates (over 160), with a fair measure of interest towards Saudi Arabia. Some of the discussions, in fact, focused on Saudi Arabia and were well received. In addition, several delegates during the conference, and several readers after the conference, suggested that it would be only natural to focus on Saudi Arabia. And hence the decision to conduct C3 in the Kingdom.
The success of the Abu Dhabi event largely had to do with the panellists, moderators and speakers on one hand, and the choice of the topics for discussion. Broadly speaking, the conference focused on two areas – district cooling and refrigeration.C3 Saudi Arabia will go two steps farther by including discussions on air conditioning in industries, and air conditioning and ventilation in the healthcare sector. The decision to add the two topics was inevitable, considering the goal we have set for ourselves – to conduct a GCC-specific, HVACR-dedicated, comprehensive and relevant conference.
To do full justice to the topics,C3 Saudi Arabia will be a three-day-long conference, with one day each for district cooling and refrigeration, and half a day each for air conditioning in industries, and air conditioning in the healthcare sector. In the best traditions of C3, the topics will look at the technical as well as the commercial aspects of the four tracks of discussion. The participants will be HVACR players that have established their credentials as much by working in the GCC as elsewhere and, thus, potentially being able to bring a unique set of expertise and experience to the table.
We look forward to welcoming you at C3 Saudi Arabia as participants, as delegates and as commercial partners in this grand vision to give a robust voice to the HVACR industry in the GCC. |
